The Johnson Center is a unique facility designed to encourage learning. Its programming and use of space emphasize integration of the curricular and extracurricular activities of the diverse communities that comprise George Mason University. Academic programs and special events will be scheduled in the Johnson Center based on their ability to provide a learning experience to a broad audience within the University.

Academic programs have priority in scheduling space in the Johnson Center. No use shall be permitted which is inconsistent with the mission of the University or which will result in undue competition with local commercial enterprises; nor can any funds raised through activities in the Johnson Center be used for purposes which are exclusively religious or political, with the exception of recognized University organizations.
